Education is crucial to prevention.

Unless we educate ourselves today, we won’t have the knowledge to prevent gut disease in the future. Let’s create a movement! The Gut Foundation team can visit your school, office or work site, and teach you what you need to know about gut health and disease prevention.

From Awareness to Action: How a Seminar Sparked a Health Check

“After attending your education session on men’s health at Burnham Army Camp my husband came home and after explaining what had been discussed, I realised I had noticed some small changes and we agreed it would be a good idea to speak to our GP.  The GP asked me a few questions and she was supportive of the idea to refer me for the procedure. I was able to book an appointment with Pacific Radiology within 10 days of the seminar my husband had attended. Preparation was not pleasant but only had to start at 4pm the day before and my appointment was at 8.30am.  The procedure itself was completed in under 15 minutes and only uncomfortable for less than a minute. My doctor received the results the next day and they had found a 9mm polyp. I am currently on the waiting list for a colonoscopy to check these further for which I am very grateful for.  My husband will now be booking an appointment in the new year as well.”
